Who is Eligible?

Home Based and Child Care Centers.  All registered and group homes which care for at least on non-residential child can claim meals served to the children in their care. Eligible day care homes that have 12 children or less qualify for this program. They are reimbursed for each child: $1.11 for breakfast; $2.06 for lunch or supper and $.61 for snacks.  CENTERS are reimbursed $1.35 Breakfast; $2.47 Lunch/Supper; $.68 Snack for low income children.
 
How can it help me?
 
The program helps family daycare providers and child care centers improve the health and eating habits of the millions of pre-school children and school age children by offsetting your expenses for food. Providers receive a monthly reimbursement check for meals and snacks served, which meet basic nutritional requirements.

What are my responsibilities?

You are probably already serving nutritious meals to the children in your day care home/center, which meet our program requirements. What we ask is that you record your meals counts, menus and changes in enrollment, and forward those records to us at the end of each month. We supply you with the required forms and we will monitor your day care for compliancy.
